About me

¡Hola! I'm Rūta Bendikė. If you're interested in the Spanish language, we already have a common passion – I'm a sworn admirer of Spain, its culture and language. Spanish came into my life because of a gut feeling. In 2011, it became my working language. I've been living in Spain for 5 years and I share my passion – I teach online. If you're seriously considering taking on one of the best challenges of your life and starting to learn Spanish with me, let's get to know each other.

My works

Since 2020 – Spanish language and culture teacher remotely. When the pandemic began, I had to rethink my career path and realized how much I still need communication, opportunities to share my knowledge and stories, and an audience. This is the most meaningful work of my life – helping you discover Spanish culture and learn the language.

Since 2020, I have been developing my other beloved activity as a fashion journalist. While still studying for a Master's degree in Style, during the pandemic I started consulting online - preparing advice packages for clients, creating online shopping lists, writing about fashion and style on my blog www.rutapapasakojo.com. I also wrote for the Lithuanian press: Ji stiilo kulimais and L'officiel Homme, now my articles are being prepared for the publications Ieva and Happy.

From 2018 to 2020 , I moved to Barcelona and worked as an assistant at an insurance brokerage agency. It was the most technical job I had ever had, but I grew a lot as a person here, as I had to find a way for the only foreigner to fit into the Spanish team.

In 2017-2018, I worked as a HR specialist at Aviva Lithuania for half a year. This is the only job in my life that is not directly related to the Spanish language. After finishing my job, I taught courses at Vilnius University in the evenings.

2017 was spent at AIG, where I worked as an insurance policy administration specialist (Spanish). Here I gained great experience in working with colleagues from different cultures and working quickly. I also had the opportunity to intern in the training department at AIG.

2013 – 2018 – my time of growth. I created a project for women called Nerealioms.lt. This is a project that started as an online jewelry store on Facebook and grew into trainings with famous women (Nomeda Marčėnaitė, one of the founders of Uoga Uoga Lena Sokolovska, representatives of art therapy).

From 2010 to 2017, while studying in the second year of my master's degree, I started working as a lecturer at Vilnius University, Institute of Foreign Languages. I taught Spanish at the age of 24, at that time some of my students were older than me. I taught Spanish as a free subject, later as an elective, and finally taught Spanish as a specialty subject to future linguists.

From 2007 to 2011, during my studies, I completed an internship as an assistant translator at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain.
